The Eastern Iowa DX Association, founded in 1975, is a club with interests centered on DXing and contesting. EIDXA publishes
a quarterly newsletter for members, the Eastern Iowa DXer, and holds quarterly meetings, including a summer picnic.
EIDXA meeting dates and locations are noted under EIDXA Meetings. EIDXA membership requires, among other things, full or life ARRL membership, proof of contacts with at least 100 DXCC entities, and permanent residence within 175 miles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Applications for membership must be approved by EIDXA members. The complete membership criteria is set forth in the EIDXA bylaws. EIDXA has its own repeater, NØDX/R, operating on 145.19 MHz (Input 144.590 / Tone 192.8). The repeater is open to all users. Joe WØMJN is the trustee of the repeater and EIDXA club callsign NØDX. The EIDXA Reflector allows members to circulate questions and information to fellow members by e-mail. EIDXA also sponsors a packet cluster for DX spotting, operating on 147.51, 144.91 and 223.40 MHz; and CRNETROM. Tom WB8ZRL is the EIDXA Clustermeister. |
