About Eastern Iowa DX Association

The Eastern Iowa DX Association welcomes all radio amateurs who have an interest in DXing or contesting. The club was founded in 1975 and is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

EIDXA publishes a quarterly newsletter, the Eastern Iowa DXer. Please feel free to take a look at it! In addition to the quarterly newsletter, the EIDXA also publishes a weekly DX bulletin, The Eastern Iowa DX Bulletin, available on this website. It is published every Friday. This bulletin is a compilation of currently active operations only, gleaned by permission from other DX bulletins. Email notification of new issues is available to members of the EIDXA via our email reflector.

Club meetings are held quarterly (in January, April, July and October) and are open to all. We also have a summer or fall picnic. Meeting dates and locations are usually posted a month in advance on the EIDXA Meetings page.

If you are interested in DXing or contesting, you are most welcome to attend our meetings. We have many friendly, outgoing members who would be delighted to meet you! We can help you get started in DXing or contesting, and most of us would be very happy to have you visit our radio shacks!

Membership
Membership requirements are simple: You must hold a valid amateur radio license, have an interest in DXing or Contesting, live within 175 miles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and be a member of the American Radio Relay League. If you hold DXCC or can provide other proof of contact with 100 different countries, you will be a Full Member. Until you achieve DXCC, you will be an Associate Member. Dues are currently $20 per year, most of which goes to support DXpeditions. A membership application form is available here.

Repeater
EIDXA has its own repeater, NØDX/R, operating on 145.19 MHz (Input 144.59 / Tone 192.8 Hz). The repeater is open to all users. Steve White, NUØP, is the trustee of the repeater and EIDXA club callsign NØDX.
